Player Achievements

National Level Success

Dhiraj Kr. (Chief Coach, DKBA) coached the 2023 Under 17 Girls Team of Maharashtra State at the School National Games held in Vadodara, Gujarat. Shruti Shankargouda and Shalmali Sutar secured top 60 ranks in Under 19 Girls Singles at the Badminton Association of India (BAI) Rankings.

State Level Triumphs

Shalmali Sutar secured 3rd position in Individuals at the School States held in Ahmednagar, earning her spot to represent Team Maharashtra at the School National Games. Team Maharashtra secured 2nd place in Team Events at the same event. Shruti Shankargouda clinched 1st place in Under 19 Girls and Women's Singles at the Superwomans Open State Tournament held in Pune.

Representation

8 Academy players were selected to represent Team Sangli at the InterState Tournament in Nagpur. Over 34 Players from DKBA were selected for School Zonals held in Satara.

Tournament Success

District Championships

DKBA players secured 5 Winners and 6 Runners Up positions in the Sangli District Championship organized by Shuttle Badminton Association Sangli.

DKBA players also achieved 6 Winners and 6 Runners Up positions in the Multi-District Tournament held in Sangli.

State and Multi-District Tournaments

DKBA players showcased their talent with 2 Winners and 1 Runner Up in the Late Rajabhau Kotnis Multi-District Badminton Tournament 2023 held in Karad.

Additionally, 4 Winners and 4 Runners Up were secured by DKBA players in the Yonex Sunrise Maharashtra State Open Multi-District Badminton Tournament 2023 held in Solapur.

Academy Milestones and Activities

Anniversary and Growth

Dhiraj Kumar Badminton Academy proudly completed 10 years of operation, expanding from a single-court badminton hall to having over 4 coaching centers in Sangli and 1 coaching center in Jaysingpur.

Player Engagement

DKBA served over 500 players in 2023.

The 10th Summer Camp in May saw participation from over 70 players from Sangli, Gujarat, Solapur, and Satara.

A special 10th Diwali Camp was conducted for budding talents with over 30 participants.

Exposure and Development

Two players were sent for training in Delhi (Greater Noida) at the Suraj Bhatt Badminton Academy for exposure.

DKBA conducted 2 District and 1 Multi-District Tournaments to provide experience and exposure to professional and senior players.

Additionally, 4 In-House Tournaments were conducted for players of Foundation and Intermediate batches.
